Thank you, two small simple words yet not said enough. How often do we say Thank You? It doesn’t always have to be directed to someone after they’ve said or done something for you. Thank you, can be said to yourself for just being you, to your car for getting you home safely, for your home to keep you warm and safe, the air that you breathe so you can enjoy life, the freedom to be you, for all the love that surrounds you, for all the money that comes into your life and provides for your family, for the beauty of nature as it is so simple and yet so elegant and the list goes on and on. We tend to forget the small things in life that we should be grateful for and expect so much and give nothing in return. Life is about giving and taking, a simple thank you with the feelings of gratitude will bring you everything you ask for if you are grateful for what you already have.

There are so many things to say Thank you for, I say thank you for everything that has happened in my life because it has brought me to where I am today and it’s made me who I want to be. Life is full of reasons to say thank you, and by saying thank you for everything including the things we tend to take advantage of will bring you more to be thankful for. Every night I write out a list of the things that I am happy and grateful for and it’s helped me appreciate my life, the people in it and the things in it so much more because everyone and everything that comes into my life is a gift. I even say thank you for things that aren’t in my life yet, but I know it’s on its way. Everyday I find new things to be grateful for and when I say Thank you I always try to say it with feelings, so it has meaning and is heartfelt. Sometimes I need to say it a few times to bring the feelings and then it starts the cycle of feeling good about all the other things that are coming into my life. The more I say thank you to others and for the small things the more it seems to spread like a virus and everyone starts to say thank you.

When was the last time you sat down with a piece of paper and pen in hand to write down what you are happy and grateful for? Even if you started with a couple of things for the first little while if you really feel good about those things you will soon see your list will grow, just as you will. I personally like writing my list at the end of the day before going to sleep because it puts me in a great state of mind to fall asleep and it helps me stay focus on the positives of my day. There is so much to life to be grateful for and life will keep bringing more to you and all you have to do is say Thank You!

Thank you for reading and have yourself a good day!
