I used to think that life just happened to me and I just had to deal with whatever was thrown at me. I’ve come to understand that I have more power over my life than I thought. When I decided that I would change my life around I had to face a lot of unknown and step out of my comfort zone. I had to finally decide what I wanted my life to look like, and I started to use the power of the mind. When I started to notice I was feeling down I would ask myself what kind of thoughts am I having? The more I noticed my mood go downhill the more I knew I had to change the way I was thinking and then that would change the way I was feeling. I would often get caught up in my own negative thinking and the negativity from others. My ego as I call it would feed off the negativity and it would stir up the drama, because I always felt like I had to fix everybody else’s problems and in the long run I would get dragged down with it. So, that’s when I decided that I could help with positivity and turn their thinking around and if it didn’t work then I knew I had to walk away until they were in a better state of mind.  When I noticed my mood being down for days at a time I would have to remind myself that I don’t have to have the drama in my life and start applying positive thoughts and visions that I wanted for myself and my life.

Whatever you believe about you, your life and your surroundings that you deserve whether it be positive or negative that’s what you’ll experience. Over and over I read these words in books, heard from so many teachers and knew in my heart that this is something I wanted for myself so more and more I would apply it to my life by reading books, writing out my thoughts and feelings, watch dvds and movies that would inspire me. I surrounded myself with sayings and reminders that I could quickly refer back to if I started to feel negative thoughts and it would help change my thinking around. All of these tools helped me notice more and more how good I felt and what I was doing with the power of the mind was really transforming my life. It’s taken me time and practice to be able to recognize and pay attention to my feelings and my thoughts. It’s also taken me some time and practice to believe that I do deserve nothing but good in my life and use the power of the mind to create all the good experiences in my life. Instead of letting my ego take over and try to create situations in my life where it leaves me feeling negative I turn it around with the power of the mind by telling myself that Life is Good to Me. Life can be fun, happy full of joy and love if you start understanding and believing in yourselves and the power of the mind. What will you create for yourself today?
